Wegen Trump: Audioslave & Gorillaz sind zurück
Als reiner Musikfan kann man angesichts dieser Comebacks fast schon ein bisschen versöhnt darüber sein, dass dem America-first-Polarisierer heute das Zepter übergeben wird
Nach sechs Jahren Pause pumpten die Gorillaz gestern mit “Hallelujah Money” ein Stückchen ihrer neuen Platte in die Musik-Herzkammern. Das Comeback ist klar politisch motiviert. Genaue Angabe von Gründen:

Auch die Indie-Rocker von Audioslave haben sich nach 10 Jahren Band- und Bühnenabstinenz wieder zusammengetan. Audiolave und Ex- Rage against the Machine Guitarrist Tom Morello gilt schon länger als lautstarker Trump-Gegner, der den Slogan “not my president” auf seinem Instrument verewigt hat. Die 2016 gegründete Supergroup Prophets of Rage, die sich u.a. aus Tom Morello, Chuck D von Public Enemy und B-Real von Cypress Hill zusammensetzt, hatte den heute stattfindenden Anti-Inaugaration Ball mit dem Reunion-Konzert von Audioslave organisiert – Motto: “Power to the People!”
Die Inamtsetzung von Trump hat noch weitere Künstler kreativ auf den Plan gerufen. Das amerikanische Musikergeschwister-Duo CocoRosie hat in Kolaboration mit der politisch textenden Transgender-Sängerin Anohni den Track “Smoke’em out” aufgenommen.
